Triumph Italia 2000 Coupe

As many of us know, not everything Italian comes from Italy alone.  Over the years we’ve hosted gatherings of Pininfarina designed BMWs, Cadillacs, Nash Healeys, and Bertone-designed Volvos.  We’ve had a special celebration of Zagato design cars, where several were badged as non-Italian marques.  There are many more.

This August, we are celebrating the Triumph Italia 2000, a limited production coupé built on the Triumph TR3 chassis from 1958 to 1962. Conceived by Dr. Salvatore Ruffino, Triumph’s importer for Italy, the car was designed by Giovanni Michelotti, and finished with bodies by Carrozzeria Vignale in Turin, Italy.

A total of 330 Italias were built, with 124 cars known to survive, and 55-60 believed to be in running condition. We are expecting to present cars drawn from US and UK ownership.

We invite you to join Concorso this August to see a full field of Italian automotive excellence, plus this rare sighting of Italian excellence brought to us by Triumph.  Register your car here to join us at Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course.
